Get The Look: A Revamped Home Office Space
Tuesday, February 10, 2015
With so many snow days this winter, many of us in the northeast have been stuck home with no way to get to work. As a result, we've had to work from home in spaces that might not be as comfortable or pleasant as we want. Here are some ways you can revamp your home office space to make your snow days a little more enjoyable. Click on the picture or link to see the products on our site as well!
1. It starts with a comfortable chair. Not all of us at home have advanced ergonomic chairs, but that doesn't mean you can't do a fun and unique spin on it. Take for instance our new Slice chair in bright, vibrant green. It's comfortable and stylish with a great back support for those long hours at the computer or reading. Our Divani Upholstered chair is simple, classic, and clean with comfortable cushion coming in linen or leather. We suggest leather in the fall/winter and using linen for the summer and spring months. If you'd like a chair with arms, the Pampa Arm chair is made of steel and then wrapped in your choice of leather or cowhide.
2. A good table is the foundation for all your office needs. It should be sturdy and, depending on how much you have, large enough to hold all your office needs. However, you don't want it to overwhelm the room either. Try a custom made wood and steel table that combines a modern and rustic look with its use of materials. We're able to use various kinds of wood tops including cherry, pickled oak, or dark mahogany. If you want a more modern look, we also make glass tops.
3. If your table isn't organized properly, most likely you won't be. To help you out we have a few items that work as great office table accessories inlcuding our hand carved horn cup, which is perfect for holding pens, pencils, highlighters, and markers. For your other miscellaneous items, our hand carved rectangular rosewood tray can hold your stapler, tape, and post-its. If you have business cards, don't have them lying around. Put them in something stylish that represents you. We love our horn business card holders that are chic and beautiful.
With these tips, your home office will be comfortable and looking good in no time! Don't be afraid to take risks. Just because it's work doesn't mean it has to look OR feel like it!
Happy decorating!
Cheers,
Frank Campanale

4. Don't just have boring white walls and spaces around you. Make your workspace fun and lively with some great vintage and modern art pieces. If you have shelf space, try our Keith Haring inspired ceramic pieces. They come in various colors and forms of a baby, acrobat, dog, and cat. For something a little more traditional and rustic, our colorful Guatemalan hand carved wooden sculptures stand out. For walls, our Latin vintage movie posters add an interesting touch.
